Parents Are Expected At This Evenings Sullivan County School Board Meeting…Discussion On Closure Of 3 Schools

When Sullivan County School Board members meet this evening they will more than likely be facing a huge crowd of parents who are concerned about the potential closure of three county schools at the end of this school year. Parents, students, and teachers from Innovation Academy, Blountville Middle and the middle school portion of Sullivan Gardens K-8 are planning to attend the meeting to voice their concerns about the possible closure . School officials say the county could save almost one and a half million dollars a year by shutting down the three educational facilities. The meeting begins at 630 in Blountville.
