New Report Out Shows Alarming Tennessee Teen Suicide Rates
The Tennessee Department of Health has released a new report that shows an alarming rise in the number of suicides among ten to seventeen year old’s in the Volunteer State. Scott Ridgeway is with the Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network and says helping identify root causes of kids’ anxiety could be key to preventing suicide.

Ridgeway says when a kid talks about considering suicide, it’s now clear those cases should be referred to a professional and should not be considered an act of getting attention by the child.
