Trial Begins For Man Accused Of Shooting And Killing Co-Worker

A Southwest Virginia man who’s accused of shooting and killing a co worker at a St, Paul business goes to trial this week in Wise County. 69 year old Larry Leon Snake Fields of Dante is charged with the first degree murder of Mark Anthony Ward. Police say the two had been aggravating one another at their work site and Ward had threatened to put gasoline on Field’s vehicle. Fields then dsiplayed a 22 caliber handgun and shot Ward in the head, resulting in his death
