Proposed Virginia Business College Awaiting State Approval
The vacant facilities that housed the former Virginia Intermont College may soon be home to the new Virginia Business College.
President Randall Blevins announced that the State Council of Higher Education in Virginia is expected to review the proposal March 18th. This comes after Chinese-based owners of the campus, U.S Magis International, applied with the State Council to operate a private business college in June of last year.
The school plans to offer a Bachelor of Science in business administration in its first year, and by year three, could offer degrees in areas such as health care administration, nursing, and public health administration as well as a graduate program.
