Ballad Medevac Helicopter makes Emergency Landing
Ballad One, Ballad Health’s Medevac helicopter, made an emergency landing Thursday morning in Church Hill.
The Church Hill Police Department confirmed on Twitter that no one was hurt.
The problem is believed to have come from the de-icer. When the crew reached an altitude high enough that they encountered snow, they turned on the de-icer and the aircraft began smoking.
That’s when crews made an emergency landing in a field next to Pal’s.
No patients were on board at the time of the incident.
