TBI, Kingsport Police Investigating Officer Involved Shooting, Suspect in Hospital
An officer involved shooting in Kingsport has resulted in a suspect being taken to the hospital.
Kingsport police responded to a domestic disturbance around 5:30 Wednesday morning at a home on the 100 block of Mullins Street, and preliminary information from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation reports a male suspect approached officers and produced a knife. Authorities fired shots and hit the suspect, but no officers were injured.
Kingsport Police and the TBI are continuing to investigate the incident and we’ll have more information as it becomes available.
