Johnson City Commissioners Set To Take Next Step Toward Approval Of Alcohol Sales At Movie Theaters
Currently, Title 8 of Johnson City’s municipal code prohibits the sale and consumption of alcohol at movie and live production theaters. That could soon all change when city commissioners vote a second time on an ordinance later this week that would allow alcoholic beverages to be sold in movie theaters. Commissioners approved the measure on first reading earlier this month. The ordinance will become official following an approval on second reading this Thursday and a final reading before the end of June.
