NWS: Flash flood watch posted for portions of NE Tennessee, SW Virginia
Portions of Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia have been placed under a flash flood watch due to storms possibly bringing 2 to 3 inches of rain in some areas. The report said that strong, gusty winds could also develop and some localities could experience rain levels above projected totals. Both Bristol and Kingsport have been classified under the high risk level along with Lee, Scott, Wise, Russell and Washington counties, according to data from the National Weather Service in Morristown.
