Elizabethton Man Injured After Crashing Stolen Vehicle

An Elizabethton man is injured and then arrested after fleeing from police and then crashing what police say was a stolen vehicle. Johnson City police arrested 24 year old Jacob T. Salazar, of 272 Holston Mountain Road and charge him with Theft of a Motor Vehicle. Salazar allegedly stole the green Ford Explorer from a gas station. Salazar was seen driving the vehicle a short time later and a brief pursuit took place involving Greene County deputies before Salazar crashed in Greeneville. Salazar was arraigned in Washington County Tennessee General Sessions Court Monday.
