Three Make It Safely To Shore After Being Stuck In South Fork Of Holston River
A fishing guide and two anglers were safely removed from a precarious situation in the middle of the South Fork of the Holston River in Sullivan County Monday night. The boat hit rapids and became stuck on rocks for several hours before emergency crews from Holston Valley Rescue, Hickory Tree Fire, Kingsport Fire and Kingsport Lifesaving departments all responded to the scene downstream of the Hickory Tree bridge in Sullivan County. The fisherman were safely brought to shore while, the fishing guide freed the boat to get to shore safely.
