Former senior living nurse sentenced to three years in prison for stealing drugs

A nurse employed at a Southwest Virginia senior living center received a three-year prison sentence in federal court for stealing pain medication intended for patients. Amanda Kilgore of Kingsport admitted to investigators that she took Oxycontin to feed her own addiction to pain killers while working at Grace Healthcare in Abingdon. Court documents said the judge ordered her to receive rehab treatment while housed in a prison in West Virginia.
