John Battle Cheer Leading Coach Charged With Embezzlement

A Bristol Virginia woman, employed as the John Battle Cheer leading Coach is charged with embezzlement involving funds that were raised this summer by the school’s cheer leading squad. 24 year old Jessica Ritter-Buchanan was arrested and charged after Washington County Virginia Sheriff’s officials were alerted to possible suspicious activities regarding the handling of approximately 700 dollars found missing from an online fund raiser. Buchanan was released on bond. She was not a teacher with the school system and was only hired as the head cheer leading coach at John Battle High School.
