JCPD: Man Allegedly Pushed Victim Down a Cliff During a Fight
A Johnson City man is behind bars after witnesses say during a fight, he pushed a man down a cliff.
James Blackburn, 25, of Johnson City, is facing a charge of aggravated assault, stemming from an alleged fight that happened early Thursday morning. Police responded to the area of West Market St. and North Center St. just after 2:00 A.M, and they say they received word from a witness that during a fight, Blackburn pushed a man some 20 feet down a cliff to railroad tracks. The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries.
Blackburn was located and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held on a $3,000 bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Washington County General Sessions Court tomorrow at 10:30 A.M.
