United Health Foundation awards $1 million grant to Health Wagon

A non-profit organization that provides medical services to deserving residents in a six-county region of Southwest Virginia is getting a major financial boost.

The United Health Foundation has earmarked a three-year, $1 million grant for The Health Wagon that will allow the free clinic service provider to expand its coverage of care. The funds will finance new features that will be used for mammograms, ultrasounds, X-rays and dental services.
