Two Johnson City Men Jailed On Counterfeit Money Charges

Two Johnson City men have been charged with criminal simulation after attempting to pass numerous fake one hundred dollars bills at several local establishments. 23 year old Armon Rakel Grant attempted to purchase items at a Dollar General store with a counterfeit one hundred dollar bill. That same day Grant tried to get change for another fake bill at a gas station. In a separate incident, 38 year old Xaviar Barber was arrested after he paid for food at two restaurants with a fake one hundred dollar bill. Both men are to be arraigned in Washington County General Sessions Court.
