UPDATE: Unicoi man accused of kidnapping 5-year-old appears in federal court

A man charged with the kidnapping of a Unicoi County child earlier this year has pleaded not guilty in federal court in Greeneville.

Justin Claude Richardson is also facing two counts related to child pornography, according to court information. In May, police said Richardson pulled the 5-year-old victim out of her front yard and into his van, later dropping her off near her home. Richardson was later arrested and picked out of a lineup by the victim.

A judge has set a four-day trial for Richardson beginning December 10.
