Minor injuries reported following motorcycle crash on Highway 11E in Bristol

An eyewitness tells Bristol Tennessee police that a motorcycle rider was traveling close to 90 miles per hour before losing control of his ride late Sunday.

Officers were called to the crash scene on Highway 11E at the intersection of Hamilton Hill following a report of a wreck and the motorcycle rider, identified in the report as David Forester, laying in the highway. The report said after the crash a car ran over the machine causing the bike to catch on fire. Forester was given citations for the crash and was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
