Two-year investigation reaps 1,000 prescription drug fraud charges in SW Virginia

Seven people from Southwest Virginia now face more than 1,000 felony prescription drug fraud and conspiracy charges following indictments from a multijursdictional grand jury impaneled in Wise County. Commonwealth’s Attorney Chuck Slemp said the charges stem from a two-year investigation that began in 2014. Those charged in the case include:
