Missing: Authorities searching for Marion, Virginia man

Smyth County Sheriff Chip Shuler has issued a missing person alert for a Marion, Virginia man who was last seen on October 9.

Matthew Chaphe, 29, is a white male standing 6 feet 6 inches tall weighing 200 pounds with dark hair and a dark goatee. Any sightings of Chaphe need to be reported at (276) 783-7204.
