NEW: Greeneville murder suspect added to TBI Most Wanted list

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation added suspected Greeneville murderer Stanley Mossburg to their Most Wanted list Monday afternoon.

The Greeneville Police Department reported earlier that the TBI assisted their investigators in developing Mossburg as the prime suspect in the Oct. 2 murder of Christopher Short near Celebrity Coin Laundry off Andrew Johnson Highway. Short’s body was recovered in a wooded area beside of the laundromat.

Mossburg is considered armed and dangerous. Police said they believe Mossburg has fled Tennessee and they are cooperating with the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Department in South Carolina in trying to track him down.
