Officials with Food City to Present Check Totaling Close to $14,000 to go towards Miracle Field

A check of nearly $14,000 is to be presented by Food City that goes towards the new Miracle Field in Kingsport.

From late August to September, the grocery store chain partnered with the Kingsport Chamber and Visit Kingsport, launching a fundraising campaign at Kingsport area stores, raising a grand total of $13,849. In addition, the company is donating $25,000 to the project over the next five years. Miracle Field is a region first in providing a safe place to play for children and adults with special needs. The field is slated for completion next Spring.

The check will be presented tomorrow at 11:00 a.m at the Food City location on North Eastman Road in Kingsport.
