Sullivan County Ranks 18th In State’s Well Being Of Children
Sullivan County’s biggest opportunity for improvement concerning the well being of its children remains an abnormally high rate of reported cases of child abuse and neglect as well as one in four children in the county are living in poverty. That’s some of the data released Tuesday from a report by the Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth. Sullivan County ranks 18th overall out of 95 counties when it comes to the well being of its children according to the report being used By Governor Bill Lee’s administration’s efforts to address the states challenges in its urban and rural counties.
