Bristol, VA School Board Selects School Building Site Proposal
The Bristol, Virginia School Board has selected a site to move forward with, in hopes of building a new school for students in their district.
According to Superintendent Keith Perrigan, during Monday night’s school board meeting, the board voted 4-1 to move forward with the proposed Van Pelt Elementary site. This site, the same proposal that the school board went to the Bristol, VA City Council with last year, is proposed for 630 students at a current estimated cost of $18.4 million. This proposal could be received for next Tuesday’s City Council meeting, where Dr. Perrigan says he would ask council members to reconsider this proposal.
