Northeast Tennessee Helps Collect More Than 26 Thousand Pounds Of Unused Medications
Northeast Tennessee law enforcement along with more than one hundred others from across the state helped collect more than 26 thousand pounds of unused medications and vaping devices during this years 18th annual DEA National Prescription Take Back Day last month. Tennessee utilized 145 collection sites along with 109 law enforcement officers to help the agency collect the prescriptions. During the past eighteen years, the state of Tennessee has collected more than 285 thousands pounds of unused medications from households across the state.
