New U.S HUD Report Says Veteran Homelessness On Decline in VA and TN
A new nationwide estimate of veteran homelessness sees decline in numbers for 2019 for Virginia and Tennessee.
According to a recent report from the U.S Housing and Urban Development, a year to year decrease was experienced in the Volunteer State, which totaled 63 veterans gaining housing. Virginia saw a 7.8% decrease from 2018 to 2019, totaling 38 more veterans with roofs over their heads. Nationally, the latest estimates show a 2.1% decrease in 2019 with close to 800 veterans gaining housing.
