Interlocal Agreement For New Jonesborough Elementary School To Be Signed Tuesday

Stakeholders representing the three entities involved in an interlocal, multi million dollar agreement to build a new school in Jonesborough are gathering Tuesday to put the final signatures in place to finalize the deal. The project which includes all design work and site preparations in addition to the structure and athletic facilities is being constructed while Jonesborough serves as a conduit for the creative funding plan by securing the bonds for the new elementary school. Washington County Mayor Joe Grandy, Jonesborough Mayor Chuck Vest and other participants will sign the document finalizing the project at ten am Tuesday at the Historic Jonesborough Courthouse.
