Methamphetamine Overdose Deaths On Rise In Virginia…Despite Ongoing Battle
An estimated 150 people will die in the state of Virginia due to overdoses from methamphetamine use this year. That’s according to a report from the Virginia Department of Health. The office’s chief medical examiner says deadly meth overdoses rose from 88 people in 2017 to 127 in 2018. The numbers in the report also state almost half of meth overdose deaths in the Commonwealth last year had the deadly drug fentanyl causing or contributing to the deaths.
