Threatening Note Found At Dobyns Bennett…Increased Police Presence In Place Wednesday

There will be an increased police presence at Dobyns-Bennett High School on Wednesday after a threatening note was discovered by a student Tuesday afternoon. However, photographs of the note were taken prior to it being turned over to authorities and are now being circulated on social media. The posting of the photos has created fear and alarm throughout the community, especially with parents and families. The note was found Tuesday afternoon and police were on the scene at Dobyns Bennett for the remainder of the school day. Kingsport Police say an increased police presence will be in place at Dobyns Bennett Wednesday for the entire school day. The case remains an active investigation and no further details will be available for release at this time.
