MTSU Report says house prices in Tennessee keep rising
A report from Middle Tennessee State University says housing prices in the state continue to rise.
The University’s Business and Research Center shows a statewide jump in home prices by around 6% last quarter compared to 2018 numbers, but the same report says home permits are dropping, by 5.2% to be exact.
As for the Tri-Cities Metropolitan Statistical Area, percentages are up by 3.8% in the Johnson City MSA, while Kingsport-Bristol combined MSA shows a nearly 6% increase. Tennessee has exceeded percentages when compared to the United States average over the last four years.
