JCPD: Two arrested after hit and run crash leads to discovery of drugs, firearm, and other items
A man and woman are facing several charges after police say they attempted to flee from an accident.
A press release from Johnson City Police says they were called to a hit and run in the early hours of Monday morning around the area of North State of Franklin Road and West Market Street, where a victim told police her vehicle was hit by a vehicle driven by Jonathan Aloisio, 44, of Limestone, and then she attempted to follow that vehicle. Aloisio and passenger Amy Hyder, 37, of Johnson City reportedly ran from the vehicle and tried to hide before they were located by responding police.
Additionally, police found methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, a firearm, and cash in two bags where the two were arrested. They were scheduled for arraignment Monday afternoon.
