St. Paul Virginia Family Escapes Injury…Home Is Total Loss

A St.Paul Virginia family escaped injury, however, their home was a total loss in a Tuesday afternoon Christmas Eve fire. Multiple fire departments from Wise, and Russell Counties responded along with the St. Paul Fire Department just after twelve thirty o’clock Tuesday afternoon according to an official at the Wise County Emergency Management Agency. The blaze destroyed one apartment at Clinchview Apartments on Clinchview Road. A family dog was rescued by fire fighters and was treated at the scene. The American Red Cross is assisting the family. The cause of the fire is not known and is under investigation.
