GCSD locates missing Mosheim woman on Christmas Day

A Mosheim woman who speaks no English was found Christmas Day after being missing for close to 24 hours.

According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, Lyudmyla Yurmanova, 68, originally from the Ukraine, was located in the middle of Interstate 81 close to mile marker 26 by a search team just after 12:00 p.m.

Yurmanova was originally reported missing Tuesday evening after family discovered she was not at her home. The woman was transported to the hospital to be evaluated and the Sheriff’s Department thanks everyone that shared the missing persons report Facebook post which helped lead to her discovery.
