Tennessee law to take effect January 1st giving the option to obtain conceal carry permit online
A new Tennessee law is set to take effect will allow citizens to take an online course as a choice in obtaining a conceal carry permit.
This new permit requires a minimum 90 minutes of training that can be completed through fire safety training courses online, and does not require firing a gun. This permit differs from the current permit law, soon to be upgraded to the enhanced handgun carry permit, that does require the traditional eight hour safety training course and firing a weapon. The law change was made during the 2019 General Assembly and will take effect January 1st, 2020.
