ETSU’s Steve Forbes named SoCon Men’s Basketball Head Coach of the Year

ETSU Men’s Basketball Head Coach Steve Forbes has been named the Southern Conference Coach of the Year.

The league announced it’s postseason awards Wednesday, and the fifth year coach earned his first Coach of the Year honors since taking over the role in March of 2015.

Under the guidance of Forbes, the Bucs are 27-4 this season, winning the Southern Conference Regular Season title with a 16-2 conference record, and earning the number one seed in this weekend’s upcoming Southern Conference tournament.
