Man, woman arrested for allegedly running from police, ramming police vehicle repeatedly
Two people are facing felony charges after Johnson City police say they attempted to flee from authorities and rammed a stationary police vehicle.
Officers say they were called to a residence on McKinley Church Road Sunday morning for suspicious activity. When they arrived, suspects Jason Nickles, 45, and Angela Ashley, 41, attempted to flee in separate vehicles, which included one of the vehicles repeatedly ramming a police multiple times before getting stuck.
Nickles was arrested and Ashley also tried to flee on foot, but was captured a short time later. Nickles is charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault, Evading Arrest, Driving on a Revoked License and Resisting Arrest and he is being held on a $102,000 bond. Ashley is charged with Identity Theft, Assault, Evading Arrest and Resisting Arrest and she is being held on a $4,000 bond.
