Regional United Ways Reach Initial COVID-19 Relief Fund Goal
A regional, united effort by seven United Ways has raised more than 360 thousand dollars so far for a relief fund to combat the effects of the COVID-19 global pandemic. United Way agencies from Bristol, Kingsport, Elizabethton, Hawkins, Greeneville, and southwest Virginia and Washington County Tennessee have reached their initial goal of 19 percent of the one point nine million dollar goal for the Northeast Tennessee and southwest Virginia Regional Relief Fund. The regional United Way will use the funds to meet the immediate and long term needs of Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia residents.
