One charged in weekend head-on crash on Highway 421

One person has been charged and three people were taken to the hospital following a head-on crash on Saturday in Sullivan County.

According to a THP crash report, Caleb Haven, 18, of Castlewood, VA, was traveling at a high rate of speed on Highway 421, when it struck another vehicle head-on that was turning from the boat ramp onto Highway 421. Haven, along with the driver and passenger of the second vehicle were all taken to the hospital.

The extent of their injuries are unknown and the crash remains under investigation.
