Two charged with kidnapping in Carter County

Two Carter County men will appear in Sessions Court after being arraigned on charges related to a kidnapping in Elizabethton.

Court records show Cody Madden and Brandon Blackwell are accused of picking up a male victim who was walking on Highway 321 in Hampton then taking him back to Blackwell’s home where he was held, robbed, and beaten overnight.

Both men are charged with aggravated assault and aggravated kidnapping while Madden faces a charge of aggravated robbery. They are scheduled for another court appearance on Monday.
