Johnson City’s Mountain Home To Resume Committal And Memorial Services

Beginning Tuesday June 9th, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs national cemeteries will resume committal services. Va national cemeteries will contact families who were unable to hold a committal service due to the COVID-19 pandemic to arrange memorial services for their loved one beginning in July. For health and safety reasons the department’s national cemeteries have deferred committal services and military funeral honors since March 23. Memorial services for Veterans and eligible family members who were interred without a committal service between March 23 and June 8th will begin in July.
