Town Officials: Greeneville re-entering Phase II today due to increase of COVID-19 cases in Greene County
The Town of Greeneville has announced it will re-enter Phase II of the reopening process amid a spike of COVID-19 cases in Greene County.
The town was operating in phase three, its least restrictive reopening phase since late May. Greeneville uses a data driven approach to dictate how it reopens, including available hospital bed capacity and number of consecutive days with no new coronavirus cases.
Under phase two, town buildings will remain open with social distancing practices in place, no travel restrictions for town employees, and parks will remain open except for playgrounds, basketball courts, and swimming facilities.
