Employee with City of Kingsport tests positive for COVID-19

Officials have confirmed a City of Kingsport employee has tested positive for COVID-19.

A city spokesperson says the employee who received the positive virus test last worked June 29th. All employees who may have come into contact with that employee have been informed and have not been at work since the 29th.

The building and areas where those employees worked at have been thoroughly cleaned, and the affected employees will return to work following recommended protocols from the Sullivan County Health Department.
