Four charged with disorderly conduct in weekend protests in Rogersville

Four men are facing disorderly conduct charges following this weekend’s protest in Rogersville.

The Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office arrested the following:

Garon Archer, 25, of Johnson City, TN
Daniel Starnes, 41, of Bulls Gap, TN
Sean Kauffmann, 26, of Vail, Arizona
and Joshua Blakeney, 20, of Morristown, TN

A report says Blakeney, Kauffmann, and Archer allegedly became violent and tried to assault several people in the crowd. Another report says Starnes was irate that protesters wanted to put flowers on a downtown monument, and Sheriff Ronnie Lawson was going to put the flowers on the monument, when Starnes reportedly approached the Sheriff in an aggressive manner, grabbed the flowers from the Sheriff, and threw them in the crowd.

All four were taken to the Hawkins County Jail.
