CCSO: 16 indicted as part of two year meth distribution investigation
16 people in Carter County have been indicted as part of a two year methamphetamine conspiracy investigation.
Operation Big Horn recently kicked off, as the Carter County Sheriff’s Office, Elizabethton Police, and agents from the ATF have so far nabbed eight people during their drug roundup. The search for the remaining eight suspects continue. All charged are facing a charge of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine within a school zone, which carries a minimum 14 year sentence if convicted.
Additional theft and firearms charges are also expected for some of the suspects.

Thomas Raymond Ward – Conspiracy Meth Distribution within a School Zone
