Unicoi County Schools releases 2020-21 academic year reopening plan
Unicoi County Schools have released their reopening plans for the upcoming academic year.
Like several other districts in Northeast TN, Unicoi County will use a three level color coded threshold based on level of spread of COVID-19 to determine its operation status. Schools can remain open if virus transmission in the county stays low, and with no to minimal spread, use of PPE will be optional along with no change to class sizes, and students and staff will only need to take their temperature before leaving home.
Minimal to moderate spread will prompt strong encouragement of wearing face coverings, possible alternative class schedules and potential temperature screenings before entering the building. Substantial spread will close schools and activate remote learning.
The full plan can be found here.
