Several arrests made in drug trafficking investigation in Unicoi County

Several people have been arrested following an investigation into drug trafficking at a home in Unicoi County.

Sheriff Mike Hensley posted on Facebook that they have received numerous complaints regarding alleged drug trafficking at a home on Zane Whitson Drive.

Hensley said some of his narcotic officers worked the case for a number of months, including buying narcotics from the residence. Police made several arrests during a raid at the home Thursday night and more people are expected to be arrested.

The investigation is ongoing and no further information was released.
