GPD: Man arrested on DUI charges, accused of causing head-on collision
A man in Greeneville is facing charges after police say he drove the wrong way while under the influence and caused a head-on collision.
A report from the Greeneville Police Department says around 4:00 a.m Sunday, witnesses say suspect Timothy Kilday was traveling the wrong way on East Andrew Johnson Highway when he struck another vehicle head-on. Police say they smelled an odor of alcohol on Kilday’s breath in addition to him having a slurred speech.
Both Kilday and the other driver were taken to the hospital, and among charges Kilday faces includes driving under the influence, reckless driving, and driving on a suspended or revoked license.
