Man arrested in Bristol, VA on charges of arson, assault on law enforcement officer
A Bristol, Virginia man is in jail following his arrest over the weekend in connection to an alleged arson.
Police say they were called to a fire of a vacant building owned by New People’s Bank on West State Street on Saturday. Police say they arrested Gregory Sykes as a result of the incident, who faces numerous charges including malicious arson, attempted malicious assault, and assault on a law enforcement officer.
He is being held without bond.
