UPDATE: Trial date set for Marion man facing federal charges in cross-burning incident
A judge on Wednesday set a trial date for a Southwest Virginia man facing four federal counts related to a cross-burning incident last month.
A week-long trial beginning February 8th was scheduled during an arraignment hearing for James Brown in US District Court in Abingdon.
Brown, 40, is accused of lying to FBI agents about placing a burning cross in the yard of a black neighbor in Marion, Virginia on June 14.
