NEW: Police searching for missing Buchanan County couple

The Buchanan County, Virginia Sheriff’s Office reports that Charles and Ruby Wilmer are safe and have been located.

Buchanan County, Virginia authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a couple that has been reported missing.

A report from Sheriff John McClanahan said Charles and Ruby Wilmer left their home in the Slate Creek community on Wednesday for a 3 p.m. appointment in Princeton, West Virginia and never arrived.

The couple was last seen in Grundy at around 8 a.m. that day traveling in a green 1996 Ford Ranger pickup truck with Virginia license plate YST-5535.

Anyone with information on the couple’s whereabouts should contact local police.
