NEW: Virginia Highlands Community College announces 75 percent of programs will be online this fall
Officials with Virginia Highlands Community College have announced 75 percent of their programs will be offered to students online for the upcoming fall semester.
The Abingdon school will also have social distancing precautions in place for hands-on or skills-based classes on campus, according to the college’s statement issued Thursday afternoon.
They also plan to help students with support services like veterans programming, library resources, and tutoring with online technology and new apps that are being created.
The first day of classes at Virginia Highlands is scheduled for Aug. 31.
